How Do You Know If You Are Experiencing a Dental Emergency?

If you are not sure whether you’re experiencing a dental emergency, consider the following questions. Do you have severe tooth pain? Is there swelling in your mouth, jaw, or facial area? Are one or more of your teeth loose? Have you suffered trauma to your face or mouth? Are you bleeding from the mouth? Rinse your tooth carefully without touching the roots, and keep it in your mouth next to your gums or in milk until you get to us. Avoid biting down on hard foods, ice, and candies, and refrain from using your teeth as tools or bottle openers. Brush and floss daily and get your regular checkups to keep your teeth free of disease and to prevent dental emergencies from developing.
